My grandmother was Francis A. Hooke 1913-1941 and she and her family are buried in Brentwood, NH. Her father's name was Walter R. Hooke 1874-1931 and his father was Wilson G. Hooke 1828-1906

Hello to all. I an new to WikiTree.

My focus has been the Hooks who migrated from Logan Co, OH to Wayne Co, IA to Livingston Co, MO. Our brick wall is James Addison Hook (1812 VA - 1869 IA) who we believe is related to the Rockingham Co, VA Hooks. I am aware that there is a James Addison Hook (born before 1772) in Rockingham Co but can't make the connection. There are several branches of Hookes descended from Capt Robt Hooke Sr (1712-1802 and Jean Scott (1712-1790): two in Ohio, one in Indiana, and one direct to MO.

Hi! I created the companion category for your name study (Category:Hooke Name Study). Feel free to edit it. The default for the template is to add the main category, but you can add a line to have a different category. See the ONS template page for details. Give me a holler if you have any questions about categorization.

I also created a redirect, so Project:Hooke (the link for the button from the Hooke surname page) brings you to this page.

Cheers, Liz
